Bakersfield College's main campus is located at 1801 Panorama Drive, Bakersfield, California. The campus is on 153 acres between Panorama Drive and University Avenue and Haley Street and Mt. Vernon Avenue.

From California Highway 178 (CA-178), take the Mt. Vernon or Haley St Exits north to reach the campus.

Transportation Options

Carpool and Rideshare

Bakersfield College encourages you to carpool and rideshare to get to campus. We have several designated drop off locations along the entrance on Haley Street, in front of the Outdoor Theater on the northeast side, and near the entrance of Memorial Stadium. 

Bus Transportation

Riding the bus frees you from the struggle with traffic or find parking, and you can focus on your studies as you commute to school. By using public transit, you help limit emissions and improve air quality in the Central Valley.

GET Bus

Golden Empire Transit (GET) provides FREE bus rides to Bakersfield College students from September 2024 - June 2025!

The free passes good for GET Bus fixed route buses and on-demand paratransit only are possible through a grant. Students can pick up a free GET Bus pass at the Office of Student Life during the Fall or Spring semesters. To ride the bus, show your student ID and pass to the driver. Then, swipe your pass through the fare box as you would with a regular bus pass.

Kern Transit

Bakersfield College students can ride all Kern Transit routes for FREE through June 2025. This includes routes to and from the school, as well as other destinations throughout Kern Count. These efforts are funded by a grant from the Low Carbon Transit Operations Program, which provides operating and capital assistance for transit agencies to reduce greenhouse gas emission and improve mobility, with a priority of serving disadvantaged communities.
