Use the Kuder Journey® Instructions to create your free account and get started on your career path!

Kuder Journey® is a one-of-a-kind solution to help you plan for the right major and career. This online tool provides reliable inventories to assess your interests, skills confidence, and work values, and then suggests specific Bakersfield College majors and/or general majors and specific occupations based on your assessment results. There are also easy-to-use resources, like a resume builder and online portfolio, to prepare you for the job search and connect you to today’s jobs!

Journey Assessments

• Career Interests Assessment™ connects your top interests with majors and occupations. Rate how much you like/dislike various activities. When you're finished, your highest interests are mapped to the majors and careers that you may be more engaged and successful in.
• Skills Confidence Assessment™ identifies what you believe you are good at doing. Rate how confident you are that you can accomplish each activity. When you're finished, explore the majors and careers that favor those skills.
• Super's Work Values Inventory-revised™ shows you what's most important to you. Rate how important work-related values are to you. When you're finished, your values are matched with careers that may best fulfill your most important work values.

Kuder assessments are based on 70 years of research by several key leaders in career guidance. Their purpose is to help you focus on occupations that are worth your time to explore further. They cannot tell you what you should do or would be successful at doing.

Kuder Journey® Individual Login Instructions

Registration

Please follow the instructions below to begin using Kuder Journey® — an intuitive career planning system that empowers students to make a successful transition.

1. Go to Kuder Journey® (avc.kuder.com)
2. Click on Create an Account.
3. Select I am college student.
4. Complete the four step registration process — you will be asked to enter your Journey Activation Code (J-Code) provided below.
   Activation Code: J4323739YHW
   You will create a username and password and set a security question and answer.
5. Click Sign Me Up to complete the process.

Using the System

Begin by Taking Assessments — the first step in the education and career planning process.

You can also use the navigation menu to access the options under "Things to Do" and "My Portfolio Items."

Don't forget to check your My Next Steps list, recommended links, and account settings where you can update your information.

Logging in

To re-enter your account, go to https://avc.kuder.com and enter your username and password.
