- Mission Statement: The American Sign Language Club at Bakersfield College’s mission is to provide a space where students can use American Sign Language (ASL) without feeling judged or pressured to be perfect. It gives members the chance to make mistakes, learn from them, and improve through real conversations while adapting to different signing styles and speeds by interacting with signers of varying skill levels – while connecting classroom concepts to real-life interaction; through events and group activities, it brings both hearing individuals and members of the deaf community together. Our goal is for every member to leave more confident, inspired, and eager to continue their journey and build relationships within the Deaf community.

- Mission Statement: The Automation & Industrial Robotics Club at Bakersfield College is a student-led
organization dedicated to industrial automation, robotics, smart manufacturing, and
emerging engineering technologies. Our mission is to provide students with hands-on
technical experience, professional development opportunities, and industry connections
that prepare members for careers in automation, controls, robotics, manufacturing,
and related STEM fields.
Members collaborate on real-world projects involving robotics systems, PLCs, industrial controls, automation design, embedded systems, and advanced manufacturing technologies. The club promotes project-based learning, teamwork, leadership, and innovation through technical workshops, collaborative engineering projects, competitions, and industry engagement.
The club is also actively developing an official student chapter of the International Society of Automation (ISA) at Bakersfield College. As we work toward formal recognition, we are building a strong foundation for future ISA involvement by connecting students with industry standards, automation professionals, technical resources, and career pathways within the automation and controls industry.

- Mission: The mission of the BC Campus Poke League is to foster unity and inclusion among all BC students through the shared love of Pokemon. Our club provides a welcoming and supportive environment where students from diverse backgrounds can come together to socialize and connect over various aspects of the Pokemon franchise, including the video games, trading card game, anime, and more. We believe in the power of Pokemon to bring people together regardless of their differences.
