BankMobile Disbursements

Scam emails claiming to be from BankMobile or Financial Aid are circulating and may warn of delayed or missing disbursements. This type of scam is known as phishing. These messages are not legitimate and are not sent by Bakersfield College. 
If there is any uncertainty, do not click links and contact the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships directly to verify whether a message is legitimate.

• Fake Email: Scammers send messages that look like official campus or BankMobile emails. They often claim your financial aid is delayed or at risk.
• Fake Form: The link leads to a form asking for personal information or passwords. Bakersfield College will NEVER ask for this.
• Stop & Report: Do not click links or enter information. Take a screenshot and send it to: report-spam@kccd.edu

Common Phishing Red Flags

• missing sender name
• no callback number or business address
• spelling errors
• urgent language
