Tutoring Center Open for Spring 2024 Semester
All BC Tutoring Center locations are open and accepting tutoring requests starting January 16, 2024. Please be patient as we finalize tutor schedules and subjects. Your request may take up to two weeks to fulfill.
About Tutoring
We are a proven student success service that provides FREE tutoring both online and in-person to all currently enrolled Bakersfield College Students. Our one-on-one peer tutors, who are trained in a CRLA-certified course, can assist you with many Bakersfield College courses. Services we provide include, assistance with course content, assignments, required papers (at any stage of the writing process), and/or academic skills are available through drop-in and scheduled appointments for most BC courses.
The Tutoring Center peer tutors, staff, and faculty look forward to meeting you and making your online or in-person appointment(s) an easy and rewarding experience.
Spring 2024 Tutoring Hours by Location
NetTutor is Available
While the Tutoring Center is closed, you still have free access to tutors with NetTutor. Just go to any course you are taking in Canvas and look at the left side menu. Click "NetTutor," the rest is user-friendly.
It's live tutoring just like a Zoom session.

- No time limit on session
- No limit on number of times you can use it
- Tutoring in 35 subjects
Panorama Campus Tutoring Center Location
The in-person Tutoring Center at the Panorama campus, is located in CSS 203 on the second floor of the CSS building.
