Out of concern for our students’ and faculty’s health and as of yesterday (March 11, 2020 at 12 noon), all Levan Institute classes currently in session or scheduled to begin between March 11-April 12, 2020 have been CANCELLED. After seeing how the COVID-19 pandemic plays out in Kern County during the next month, I will decide after spring break whether or not to offer three remaining classes—two in late April and one in early May.
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to call our office at 395-4431.

Although the Levan gift covers most of our startup and overhead expenses, we must charge fees in order to recover our direct instructional costs and any special materials or transportation costs associated with a course.
Fees may be refunded until one week before the beginning of a course. Exceptions to this include courses for which transportation or other reservations, as well as materials purchases, must be made well in advance. An example of this is Classical Cuisine II.
Parking permits are required for parking on campus. You have two choices for purchasing permits.

While your permit application is being approved, a temporary parking permit will be emailed to you for immediate parking privileges in the student lots. Please print the temporary permit and place it on the dash of your vehicle. Your regular parking permit will arrive via mail within 5-7 business days.
