Graduates
Important Update
Dear Renegades,
We are just days away from Commencement 2026, and we are so excited to celebrate with
you as you walk across the stage. In preparation for a ceremony with a record number
of graduates, we have made a minor time adjustment to ensure a more efficient ceremony.
The procession of the college’s platform party and faculty will begin at 6:45pm, shortly
followed by the procession of students. Family and friends who will be attending are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:45pm
so they can cheer for you as you walk into the stadium. Please pass this information
along to your loved ones – we don’t want them to miss their chance to wave from the
stands.
Day of Commencement
- We have extended the Graduate Check in time to be from 4:00PM to 6:15PM. Graduates will check in at the Practice Football Field.
- All students must check-in two (2) hours before commencement.
- Cap and gown are required. BC stole not required.
- Wear flat shoes. High heels/spiked shoes are not allowed due to safety concerns. If you do wear high heels or spiked shoes you will not be allowed to participate.
- At check-in, you will receive your name card and will be asked to take a photo for facial recognition. This card is important and cannot be replaced.
- Once you receive your name card, you will need to verify your name as you would like it read aloud.
- Next, you will go stand in line for the student processional, which will begin around 30 minutes before commencement begins.
Once graduates have entered the check-in area, they will not be able to leave.
All graduates must remain seated during the commencement ceremony.
ADA Accommodations
If you requested an ADA accommodation in your RSVP form, DSPS will be in touch with you.
