The Norman Levan Faculty Colloquium: Each semester, Bakersfield College’s Levan Center honors one faculty member, who gives a formal lecture for the campus in their area of expertise. The Norman Levan Summer Grant Program: Each academic year, Bakersfield College’s Levan Center sponsors up to five faculty members who are conducting scholarly and/or creative work in their fields of expertise. The Norman Levan Hispanic and Native American Scholarship Program. Each academic year, Bakersfield College’s Levan Center awards three student scholarships in recognition of their academic work on Hispanic and/or Native American peoples and cultures.
