About Angel

Angel Lesnikowski is a contemporary artist, professor, and the Director of the Jones Art Gallery at Bakersfield College. She holds a Master of Arts in Art from California State University, Fresno, where she graduated with distinction.

Her artistic practice explores themes of mortality, human rights, and feminist advocacy through painting, mixed media, and installation. Lesnikowski has exhibited widely throughout California and serves on the Council of 100 committee for the Fresno Art Museum.

As Gallery Director, she is committed to expanding exhibition opportunities, strengthening community partnerships, and creating accessible, professional gallery experiences for students and visitors alike.
