Biography

Degree: A.S. Universal Technical Institute

Andrew Haney grew up in Utah, Montana, and California. He has enjoyed a very rewarding career working in the Automotive Technology Industry and is excited to be able to share his experience with students and co-workers at Bakersfield College.

Haney graduated Universal Technical Institute with an AS Degree in Automotive and Diesel Technology in 1994 and has worked in the industry as a technician, global training, sales, and management positions since 1990. He is a Master Certified ASE Technician with L1 Advanced Level G1 and C2 ASE endorsements. He holds multiple BMW, Chrysler, and BOSCH certifications. He is a California State Bureau of Automotive Repair Smog Inspector and a repair and licensed instructor. He is IDA (International Detailing Association) CD/SV certified and holds many other industry certifications not listed here.

Courses Haney teaches at Bakersfield College include Automotive Fundamentals, Automotive Electrical and Electronics, Advanced Automotive Electronic Systems, Engine Performance, HVAC, and Auto Detailing.
