NextUp Program for Foster Youth
EOPS is excited to announce our very own NextUp Program for Foster Youth students. NextUp provides supportive services toward current and former foster youth students here at Bakersfield College. Some of the supportive services offered includes:
- priority registration
- books and supplies
- child care
- counseling and career guidance
- educational planning
- emergency housing assistance
- food assistance
- transportation assistance
- and more
Eligibility
To be eligible for NextUp you must
- be under the age of 26
- foster care established or continued on or after 16th birthday
- enrolled in 9 units upon entering the program (exceptions made for DSPS eligible students)

To apply for NextUp, come to the EOPS office located on the second floor of the Student Services Building (CSS) today!
