Bakersfield College Student Housing
To support its academic mission and the student community, Bakersfield College has
constructed affordable and sustainable student housing on the Bakersfield College
campus. The project accommodates over 130 full-time students and offers a living-learning
environment that supports student development and success.
Bakersfield College Student Housing Office is on its way for Spring 2027!
The housing office will be located on the main floor of the residence hall. Until construction is complete, you can reach out to the temporary location of the housing team located in the Office of Student Life. You can also reach out via phone call, email, or through our website for any information you may need.

Application Opening October 6th, 2026
The housing application will be live on Tuesday, October 6th, 2026. Please complete the steps below in order to apply for on campus housing.
- Step 1: Fill out our Student Housing Contact Form. This will help our housing office start the contact process with students interested.
- Step 2: Start the Student Housing Application.
Important: Applying does not guarantee a housing assignment. Applications will be reviewed according to BC Student Housing eligibility and selection criteria. Before receiving a housing assignment, students must ensure they are registered for Spring 2027 classes and have sufficient resources to cover the costs.
BC’s student housing was designed primarily to serve low-income Bakersfield College students who are enrolled and actively pursuing their degree by taking at least 12 degree-applicable units per semester, with priority placement reserved for low-income students.

Fees are per bed, not including grants and scholarships (available to qualifying students).
Student Housing Priority Policy
On-campus housing at Bakersfield College is limited and in high demand. Accommodation will be offered on a priority basis, and then on a first-come, first-served basis. The Student Housing Office highly recommends that students submit their housing application as soon as possible to increase their chances of obtaining a space.
