Current Projects

1. Renegade Athletic Complex

Construction Dates: January 2021 - February 2025

Current Phase: In Construction

Description: Building a new gym and field house on the BC campus which will house a gymnasium, office spaces, classrooms, weight room, a field house, locker rooms, training rooms, and a fitness center.

The Swim Pool buildings were removed from the original project scope of work due to unforeseen conditions. Project is currently in redesign.

Program Value: $59.6 Million

2. Arvin General Education Center

Construction Dates: December 2022 - June 2024

Current Phase: In Construction

Description: Building a new Bakersfield College satellite campus in the Arvin community. This will be a multi-use building with classrooms, offices, and other student services.

Program Value: $28.8 Million

Contractor/Project Manager: Colombo Construction Company, Inc. (CM@Risk)

3. Infrastructure

Construction Dates: Over the course of Measure J projects

Description: To improve the aging Bakersfield College campus, monies have been set aside for repairs/renovations. These repairs/renovations have been broken up into nine smaller projects.

Program Value: $18 Million

4. Agriculture Building

Description: Create an “Agricultural Quad” to house a single-story general agriculture building, greenhouses, a horticulture shop, and a mechanized agriculture show (ag

mech).

Program Value: $38.8 Million

5. Delano Learning Center

Construction Dates: January 2022 - June 2023

Current Phase: LRC Building complete and occupied. Street improvements will be complete early 2024.

Description: Create a Learning Resource Center on the Delano-Timmons campus to house new classrooms, a library, and offices, along with new landscaping.

Program Value: $31.3 Million

6. Center for Student Success

Current Phase: Programming Completed. Awaiting matching funding from California State Capital Outlay Program.

Description: Renovation of the current Administration Building to consolidate departments serving incoming student needs and act as a “one-stop shop”
