Last weekend, the Bakersfield College Athletics Department hosted the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony 2026, recognizing Renegade Athletic success across all sports. The celebratory event took place in the Renegade Event Center and featured dinner, a performance by the BC Choir, the BC Cheerleaders, athlete and team recognitions, and more.

This year, the BC Athletics Hall of Fame welcomed 5 athletes, one team, a contributor, and a legacy inductee, each being recognized for their athletic achievements or contributions to the BC Athletics in various ways. Each present inductee received an official plaque commemorating the honor, and each inductee will have their names forever enshrined in a display in the gymnasium.

Lynn Kennedy, Bakersfield College Athletics Director, was excited to welcome the new members into the Hall of Fame and celebrate the history of BC Athletics. “The Hall of Fame celebrates the people and teams who shaped the rich tradition of Bakersfield College Athletics while helping to create opportunities for today's student-athletes,” he said, “Seeing so many alumni, supporters, and community members come together on campus to honor our 2026 inductees and invest in the future of Renegade Athletics made for a special and memorable evening.”

A big thank you also goes out to the BC Hall of Fame Board Members who helped plan and coordinate this special event. Congratulations to the athletes, teams, and contributors who were inducted into the Hall of Fame Class of 2026! Jenny Lewis Athletics Hall of Fame Board member – QUOTE To me, the BC Athletics Hall of Fame is about legacy and remembering those who accomplished extraordinary things at Bakersfield College and beyond, and honoring their lasting impact. It is also about recognizing our current student-athletes and reminding them that they are part of a tradition that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
