Thursday, March 5, 2026
Bakersfield College’s Transfer Pathways department hosted Spring 2026 Transfer Day, welcoming 21 four-year universities to campus and connecting 221 students with representatives to support their next steps in the transfer process.
The event was designed to provide students with direct access to university representatives, giving them the opportunity to ask questions, explore academic programs, and better understand transfer requirements, application timelines, and admission criteria.
Throughout the event, students engaged one-on-one with representatives from universities across the state and beyond, gathering information tailored to their educational goals. For many, Transfer Day serves as a key milestone in their academic journey, offering clarity and confidence as they prepare to transition to a four-year institution.
“The goal of Bakersfield College Spring Transfer Day was to connect transfer students with representatives from four-year universities to support their next steps in the transfer process,” said Lizette Madrigal, Program Manager for Transfer Pathways. “The event provided students with information about transfer requirements, application timelines, and admission criteria, while also giving them the opportunity to build direct connections with university representatives.”
By bringing universities directly to campus, Bakersfield College continues to prioritize access, preparation, and student success. Events like Transfer Day reinforce the college’s commitment to helping students move forward with clear pathways and informed decisions about their future.
