BC Ready to Welcome Back Students for Spring 2026

The Spring 2026 semester is starting soon, and Bakersfield College is excited to welcome students back to campus! The official first day of instruction is Saturday, January 17th for weekend courses, and Tuesday, January 20th for weekday courses. There will be a variety of Welcome Week events and activities to provide an opportunity for new and returning students to connect with fellow Renegades, get valuable information, be creative, and have some fun.

During the first week of classes, there will be several Welcome Tents on all BC campuses that will have representatives who can help students find their classes, provide information, hand out swag, and on select days, will have free coffee and donuts! The Welcome Week activities will include vision board and bouquet making, paint n’ sip, karaoke, and more. 

On Tuesday, January 20th, the activities will kick off with Renegade Rally – a chance for all Renegades to get together, celebrate the new semester, enjoy some light refreshments, and preview various campus resources and services. It promises to be a great time for all attendees.

BC is so excited to welcome back students, faculty, and staff for the Spring 2026 semester. We hope you can join us for all the events and activities – we want the first week of classes to have a fun and welcoming atmosphere so each Renegade can connect and thrive!
