BC To Host Men's Basketball First Responders Night on December 11

Bakersfield College is proud to announce First Responders Night at the Men’s Basketball game on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 5:00 PM. The event, hosted inside the Renegade Athletic Complex, will celebrate and honor the brave first responders who serve the Bakersfield and Kern County communities.

The game is FREE for everyone, and the first 200 fans through the doors will receive complimentary “Showtime Gades” T-shirts. To build energy in the gym, attendees are encouraged to wear red for a full “Red Out” in support of the Renegades. The evening will also feature a special halftime tribute recognizing local first responders for their dedication, courage, and service.

“This night means a lot to us. Our first responders give so much to Bakersfield and Kern County, and we’re grateful for the chance to show them some love,” said Greg McCall, Head Coach, Bakersfield College Men’s Basketball. “It’s free, it’s family-friendly, and we want that gym loud. We hope everyone comes out to support our guys and our local heroes.”

This year’s First Responders Night is made possible with support from Hall Ambulance and Images of Ink-Thread & Stories, whose contributions help uplift the event and the community it serves.
