Event Spotlight: Jazz Day

BC’s annual Jazz Day, hosted by the Bakersfield College Jazz Studies Program, invited the Archives Department. We were excited to present a special display celebrating the rich history of jazz at BC. This event gave high school jazz ensembles from across the city the opportunity to not only perform and hear their peers, but also explore a curated collection of artifacts showcasing decades of jazz excellence at Bakersfield College — including vintage rehearsal binders, rare recordings, and CDs produced by the program over the years. A tribute to the rhythm, creativity, and legacy of BC Jazz!
