Bakersfield College Recognized as Pathway Champion

This month, BC was recognized as a Pathway Champion by the Campaign for College Opportunity. Each year, the organization acknowledges California Community Colleges and California State Universities that are expanding opportunities for students so they can transfer and graduate with a degree.

On Thursday, October 23, at 10:00AM, the Campaign for College Opportunity will host an awards ceremony on Zoom to honor the 2025 Pathway Champions. The ceremony will include recognition from Campaign President Jerry Ryan, California Community Colleges Deputy Chancellor Dr. Rowena Tomaneng, California Community Foundation Vice President of Policy and Advocacy Shayna Englin, and will feature presentations other guests.

BC is honored to receive this recognition and award. Congratulations to the Transfer Pathways and the other various departments whose hard work and dedication to our students have made this acknowledgement possible. Keep up the great work!
