On Friday, October 3rd, Bakersfield College hosted its annual High School Counselor Conference, bringing together over 100 high school counselors and staff from across the region to strengthen partnerships and support student success for all high school students. The day began with breakfast and a resource fair showcasing campus programs and services, followed by a warm welcome and college updates from Vice Presidents Dr. Jimenez and Dr. Wojtysiak.

Attendees participated in a series of engaging breakout sessions focused on legislative updates, transfer pathways, CalGETC, and comprehensive support services. The program also featured a lively lunch with a Ballet Folklorico performance and an inspiring student panel that highlighted the impact of early college opportunities. The event concluded with collaborative discussions and reflections, leaving participants energized and equipped to continue advancing student success across the region.

A big thank-you to the Outreach & Early College team for collaborating with departments across the college to highlight the incredible work, programs, services, and updates that continue to support our students and community!
