This week, Bakersfield College hosted the annual Student Involvement Festival – a lively and engaging event that served as a fitting conclusion to the Fall 2025 Welcome Week activities.

This annual event provides an invaluable opportunity for students to preview a variety of programs and services from BC and various community partners.  The Renegade Crossroads was filled with a multitude of resource booths with representatives ready to share information, provide materials, and hand out promotional swag. An impressive wave of students checked in throughout the day, filling the campus with energy and excitement, while providing a positive environment to make connections and build community.

Amongst the participating vendors were the BC Rodeo Team, BC Veteran Services, BC Financial Aid, Kern Transit, Kern County Probation, Bank of America, and many more. Food trucks were also parked nearby, offering attendees the chance to step away from the festivities and enjoy some delicious eats.

We believe that when a student gets more involved on campus, or in the community, it will enhance their educational experience and have a positive impact on their academic success. Thank you to all participating vendors and BC departments that made this year's festival a remarkable success.
