Bakersfield College invites you to celebrate veterans for the whole month of November. Please join us for the many events we have planned.

Vet Fest 2022

Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. | Renegade Crossroads BC Campus event to honor and show appreciation to all current and past members of the Armed Forces. Join us for free food, and music, and connect with local and campus resources. Vet Fest 2022

Nov. 29, 2022 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. | VRC - Invitation Only A celebration of our Fall Graduates and their accomplishments in education and life.

Student Veterans Panel

Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019 6:15 p.m. - 8 p.m. | Levinson Hall 40 BC’s student veterans talk about their lives in the military as well as the period of transition from a service member to a civilian and a college student. Details about the Student Veterans Panel.

Saluting our Veterans

Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019 6 p.m. | Memorial Stadium We will salute our Veterans at Memorial Stadium where BC will play against College of the Canyons. Tailgate theme is Patriotic American Salute. GoGades!

Care Package Drop Zone

Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. | Administration Building Support our Troops by dropping off care packages at Bakersfield College. Details including what to donate at Care Package Drop Zone.

Special Speaker: Dave Gutierrez

Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. | Levan Center Historian Dave Gutierrez speaks about his book Patriots From the Barrio, an action packed, thought provoking book about the only all Mexican-American unit to fight in World War II. Details about Dave Gutierrez event.

Ribbon Cutting

Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. | In Front of VRC Our veterans month ends wtih the Ribbon Cutting and Unveiling Ceremony of the Vernon Valenzuela Veterans Resource Center. VRC Open House

Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. | In Front of VRC Our Ribbon Cutting and Unveiling Ceremony will be followed by an open house of the Vernon Valenzuela Veterans Resource.
