Based on the Responsible Education Mitigating Options and Technical Extensions Act (REMOTE Act)
Among other things, this law extends the various COVID-19 protections for GI Bill® students from December 21, 2021 to June 1, 2022. In part, this means that students who were attending a course that was converted to online training because of COVID-19, and were getting paid the resident rate, may continue to train online, and will continue to receive the resident housing rate until June 1, 2022.

It’s likely you are not enrolled as a full-time student, which is 12 or more units. Be sure if you add or drop any courses, you notify us immediately so we can make the proper adjustments to your certification in a timely manner. In this case, you’d need to email bcrecords@kccd.edu and add Veteran to the subject line. Be sure to email from your BC student email account.
Be sure you’ve completed any updates via your student account. If you’re still getting a later date reach out to us via email at bcrecords@kccd.edu. Be sure to add Veteran to the subject line and email from your BC student email account so we may verify the reason for late registration.
The process for VA payments takes additional time. If you are concerned, email bcrecords@kccd.edu with "Veteran" in the subject line. We should be able to verify how much we billed them for and if payment has been received already.
Email bcrecords@kccd.edu from your BC student email account with "Veteran" in the subject line. Include your student ID# (do not include your SS#), the term (summer/fall), and your current major.
