President's Scholars

Each year, Bakersfield College offers high school students (graduating seniors), who have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, the opportunity to participate in the Bakersfield College President's Scholars program.

Funded by the Bakersfield College Foundation, this prestigious program was established to encourage high-performing high school graduates to continue their outstanding achievements at Bakersfield College.

Eligibility is based on meeting the entrance criteria, submission of the President's Scholars application, and submission of your high school transcripts to the Outreach & School Relations department.

President's Scholars Application Process

STEP 2

Submit Your Transcript

To be accepted into the President’s Scholars, you must turn in a final high school transcript, including the graduation date, by June 30th, 2017. Please submit by using one of the following options:

Eligibility

You must complete all of the following steps to qualify for the President's Scholars program.

  • Have 3.5 (or higher) cumulative, weighted high school GPA
  • Be a high school graduate
  • Enroll at BC the Fall semester directly following high school graduation
  • Complete all 5 Enrollment/Matriculation Steps.
  • Register in a minimum 12 degree/program applicable and transferable units
  • Submit your application (link below) by the deadline: June 30, 2017
  • Submit your graduation high school transcripts
