As BC is shifting to an online environment, please complete the Bakersfield College Online Orientation and complete the online orientation.

Counseling and Advising appointments have transitioned into a virtual meeting environment. You can continue to make appointments with your Counselor or Advisor via emailing the department email (counseling@bakersfieldcollege.edu) or by calling any of our office direct lines:

Your Counselor or Advisor will contact you via your BC email or call your on-file phone number to schedule and confirm your appointment. If you need to update your phone number, please update the information at InsideBC or by calling the Counseling and Advising Center at (661) 395-4421.

You will be given a choice of a 30-minute Zoom Cloud Meeting or Phone Appointment

High school students may be eligible for Bakersfield College’s Early College Program. Early College packages college course opportunities for high school students into pathways that begin in the 9th grade, allowing cohorts of students the opportunity to earn associate degrees and/or certificates by the time they walk across the stage at their high school graduation. Types of Early College Opportunities include Dual Enrollment, Concurrent Enrollment and Career and Technical Education articulated courses. Additional information is on Early College.

  • Click InsideBC. (located at the top of our website on the left)
  • This will take you to the Password manager.
  • Click Forgot Password
  • Click forgot password again
  • You will be asked for your last name, last four of your Social Security Number, and date of birth.
  • Click Security Question. As long as you can answer the question you can change the password. This will give you your ID number and email.
  • If you cannot access your security question email bcadmission@kccd.edu with your concerns.
