Bakersfield College Veterans Club to Host 4th Annual VetFest

The Bakersfield College Veterans Club is pleased to announce the fourth annual Vet Fest on Wednesday, November 2nd in the large grass area between the Library and Center for Student Success. This is an event to honor and show appreciation to all current and past members of the Armed Forces who have given their time and service to defending our country’s freedoms. The event is open for all students, staff, and faculty to attend.

Many vendors and community organizations will be present at the event in order to ensure active participation for all in attendance. These organizations include The Wounded Heroes Fund, the Bakersfield Vet Center, the Kern County Veterans Service Office, Employment Development Office, Bakersfield College Disable Student Programs and Services, and more.

Shannon Groves, Leticia Perez, and Stan Ellis, among others, will also be in attendance.

The event will include speeches, the singing of the National Anthem, and the presentation of a veterans cart to assist disabled veterans. The keynote speaker will be J.R. Browning, MSW, a BC Alum who is a Veterans Readjustment Counselor at the Kern County Vet Center.

Come join us at the Vet Fest to remember and express gratitude to the men and women of the Armed Forces. The public is welcome to this free event.
