Mathematics can be a challenging subject for many students. Bakersfield College provides many resources to help students through these courses. The following are available to students depending on their need.
Peer tutors are available for students enrolled in TECM B52 Mathematics for Career Education. The peer tutors may assist students via Zoom. Information for contacting the student peers is under “Announcements” in your TECM B52 Canvas class.
Students receive one-on-one help directly from mathematics instructors on background math skills they need to succeed in their coursework. No appointments. Adaptive learning system available.

The SS Lab, in CSS 140, offers a 0.5-unit Math Skills Course, ACDV B201C. This is a supervised open entry/open exit course with self-paced computer lab activities that help individuals improve basic math skills.

The Tutoring Center offers one-on-one peer tutoring in math. BC students may have one free 50-minute session per week. Make an appointment at the Tutoring Center, CSS 203. Walk-in assistance for math is also available.
