Students from countries outside of the United States are eligible to attend Bakersfield College if they have the equivalent of U.S. high school diploma, proof of English proficiency , and sufficient financial resources to pay for all expenses.
Bakersfield College (BC), founded in 1913, is one of the oldest continually operating two year community colleges in California, and has reputation of over 100 years of excellence in education. The college serves approximately 17,000 students and it is located in Central California, 100 miles north of Los Angeles.
A quality education is offered to students on a friendly campus with small class sizes, advanced technology, and outstanding teaching faculties. Bakersfield College offers lower division university-level courses equivalent to the first two years of university (four-year) degree.
The dedicated ISA staff provide assistance in all aspect of International student’s life and education while attending Bakersfield College. We assist students with admission process to Bakersfield College as well as assisting them in selecting courses that will be accepted for transfer to California State University and University of California campuses, as well as graduation with an Associate of Science For Transfer (AST) / Associate of Arts for Transfer (AAT) as well as Certificate of Achievement.
