CAS Workshops

C.A.S. Workshops are free to all BC students, and you can just drop in whenever a course fits your schedule. Workshops are offered on the BC Panorama Campus and the Delano Campus.

Tutoring

Bakersfield College offers lots of opportunities for tutoring and extra help.

Tutoring Center

The Tutoring Center is located upstairs from the Student Success lab. The Tutoring Center provides FREE tutoring to all students with drop-in tutoring for Math and English and pre-scheduled tutoring for most other subjects.

Writing Center

The BC Writing Center is located upstairs from counseling, next to the Student Success Lab. It offers free tutoring by degreed writing consultants (drop in, or make an appointment), small group study rooms and computer access.

The Writing Center is open Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 6 pm, and Friday, 8 am to 12 pm.

Math Lab

The Math Lab offers FREE tutoring in Math 60, 60 and 70, as well as other courses. Self-paced courses for credit are also available. The Math Lab is located in SS140.

Library Workshops

The library offers workshops on a first-come, first-served basis. They last 60 minutes, and are held in L217 on the second floor of the library.

You're advised to come early, especially for popular workshops (those on Fridays and Saturdays). Stop by the reference desk to check in!
