Oral History Presentation: Dr. Patrick Fontes

Our guest, Dr. Patrick Fontes is a fourth-generation Chicano Fresnan. He received his PhD in American History from Stanford University. His research interests include Mexican American history, immigration history, 20th century American youth sub-cultures, and the criminalization of Chicano culture. Dr. Fontes currently teaches at Cal State Fresno and Fresno City College.

Dr. Fontes will speak about his current work with oral histories through his grant project "Chicano Legacy of Fresno County: Unjust Practices and Lethal Consequences", funded by California Humanities.
