Energy Academy Application Deadline

 

The Energy Academy Flyer - 2017

Completed application and all required forms are due to Lisa Kent no later than April 28, 2017 by 12:00 pm.

Chevron and KCHCC (Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce) are seeking Bakersfield College students interested in the energy sector for their 4-week Energy Academy.

The academy, held at Bakersfield College, will:

  • Teach Energy and Business, and Careers in Energy
  • Include field trips to local energy plants
  • Offer graduation with a scholarship

The Academy includes:

  • Speakers in the Energy Industries
  • Financial Scholarships
  • Field Trips to Local Energy Sites
  • Leadership Opportunities
  • Student Ambassadors for KCHCC
  • Volunteer Opportunities in the Community
  • Meeting with Elected Officials

Student Requirements are:

  • Enrolled at Bakersfield College
  • Interest in Energy or STEM-related fields
  • On target to graduate
  • GPA of 2.5 and above
  • Able to attend all Energy Academy sessions
