THINK DIFFERENTLY ABOUT IT: SEXUAL MISCONDUCT AND ME

Title IX is a comprehensive federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any federally funded education program or activity. This presentation revolves around the roles and responsibility of staff and faculty in the sexual misconduct process through the reporting, investigating, and resolution process completed by Human Resources. Presentation will cover the steps of the Title IX process.

 

Topic:

  • What is Title IX? Defining sexual harassment/sexual misconduct;
  • How and where to report issues related to Title IX;
  • Statistics on sexual violence;
  • The college’s responsibility; and
  • What happens after you report a Title IX issue?
