Hackathon, Entrepreneurship and the Classroom

This will be a working session to discuss the Spring 2019 Hackathon and opportunities for aligning classroom work across the disciplines from science, communication, health to journalism. The format will include round table topics centered on the various components of the Hackathon and how to further link out-of-class learning experiences to current learning outcomes.
The theme this year is Digital Story Telling Techniques in the New Kern County #SpeakforHealth #BCINNOVATES. The Hackathon is a competition where all teams will be given a maximum hypothetical budget to initiate their project idea. Prizes are given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. See www.bcinnovates.com for more information on what a Hackathon entails.
