If you use Canvas, you have probably posted a useful document (like a practice exam) to make available to your students. Have you ever wondered how many times your students downloaded the document to study? If you offer a quiz to your students, you might be curious how many times a student viewed versus participated in taking the quiz, if more than one attempt is allowed. You might also be curious about how many times the student looked at their gradebook or at a particular page ('Lecture Notes') of the course.
While Canvas stores all of this information per student, it doesn't display it to the instructor in compact form. However, it is possible to use a tool in order to extract the information for all your students, in order to give you information about how documents and resources are being utilized in the course.
Attend this workshop to learn how to access this detailed information to make informed decisions about resources posted in your Canvas course. I will share data and conclusions from my own class.
** This workshop is for Bakersfield College and Kern Community College Faculty and Staff only.
