Beginning November 1, 2021, Kern Community College District (KCCD) has implemented a vaccination requirement that includes one-time and continuous visitors to any of the Bakersfield College campuses. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the college is continuing to limit uninvited visitors to campus. Visitors to any of our Bakersfield College locations must participate in a mandatory health screening.
Access to all Bakersfield College campuses and sites is restricted to students, faculty, staff, designated vendors, and invited visitors. Individuals not registered as visitors may not be admitted. Additionally, campus visitors should comply with the College’s face covering policy and other campus COVID-19 Protocols. Invited Visitors include:
Visitors of the public coming to campus events open to the public (such as athletic or performing arts events) may not be required to complete visitor verification information beforehand but may need to complete a health screening form at the event before admission is granted.
**Visitor Self-Attestation Disclaimer: All persons entering campus facilities are requested to be fully vaccinated and wear a face covering. By entering the campus facilities, persons attest to being fully vaccinated and will comply with wearing a face covering. Persons in violation of these requirements are subject to removal from the campus facilities. Persons requesting medical or religious exemptions to these requirements must receive approval by contacting email@example.com prior to entering campus facilities.
Vaccinated visitors or visitors who come to campus routinely for college-related matters must show proof of vaccination by completing the Visitor Verification Form two to three business days prior to the visitor’s arrival to campus. By selecting “Continuous Visitor” within the form, the visitor will upload their digital vaccination card and will be able to receive a GREEN Campus Pass each time when completing the Web Health Checker Form for the visiting day. This form will only need to be completed once annually
On the day of the visit, the continuous vaccinated visitor must complete the Web Health Checker Form to obtain a GREEN Campus Pass, which will be emailed to them within five minutes of submission. The email address used on the Visitor Verification Form must match the email used on the Web Health Checker Form.
One-time visitors who come to campus for reasons other than events open to the public will need to identify the campus host and complete the Visitor Verification Form at least one business day prior to arrival on campus. By selecting “One-Time Visitor” within the form, the visitor will upload a COVID test showing a negative result no longer than three days prior to the campus visit. At-home tests are not accepted.
On the morning of the campus visit, the Visitor must complete the Web Health Checker Form to obtain a GREEN Campus Pass, which will be emailed to them within five minutes of submission. The email address used on the Visitor Verification Form must match the email used on the Web Health Checker Form. This pass is only usable for the one-day requested. If the visitor receives a RED Campus Pass the day of the visit, the campus host must email the BC COVID19 Team regarding the visitor’s campus pass.
Requests for access to campus by other populations will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Visitor requests should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org copying the campus host at least three business days before the desired visit. Urgent requests will not be accommodated.
