College is a very exciting and challenging time for new students. We have prepared an Orientation designed to facilitate a smooth transition into life as a Renegade.
We want you to be successful! That is why all new students must complete the Orientation either on-campus or online.
At the Orientation on-campus, you will have the opportunity to meet fellow Renegades, learn about our academic majors and degrees, understand Bakersfield College policies, find important academic dates, and you will learn some tips on how to be a successful student at Bakersfield College.
Please check out our event schedule for Orientation below.
Then click on the Sign Up tab to register online for an Orientation date!
If you have any questions, please contact the Outreach & School Relations department at (661) 395-4276.
Students with disabilities or those who require special accommodations should contact our Disabled Students Programs & Services department at (661) 395-4422 for further assistance.
Orientation will be offered on the following dates. Please also review the Agenda below.

Parking permits are required for parking on campus. Please visit the Parking page of our website if you have not already ordered your permit. While your permit application is being approved, a temporary parking permit will be offered to you for immediate parking privileges in the student lots. Please print the temporary permit and place it on the dash of your vehicle.
For events like Orientation, you can also purchase all-day parking permits for $5.00 at one of the automatic dispensers located in the student parking lots. See the Campus Map for dispenser locations.
If you require further accommodations, please contact Outreach & School Relations at (661) 395-4276.
