Bakersfield College Food Services

Food Services has temporarily moved to The Huddle. Located just inside the gym near the stadium, you'll find an assortment of hot and cold food items and plenty of room to sit and relax!

The Huddle Hours:

  • Monday-Thursday: 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 7:00 a.m. - Noon

Office of Student Life

The Office of Student Life coordinates the Campus Center, Student Activities, Student Clubs and Organizations, Student Leadership Development, Health and Wellness Programs and much more. Student organizations who wish to plan activities and events can receive assistance here. Student Life will assist you in booking space on campus and advise you on ideas, details, planning, and implementation of your events. The Office of Student Life your source of information regarding student organizations and activities, other events on campus, and the College in general.


Bakersfield College Student Government Association

Bakersfield College Student Government Association (BCSGA) is your student government at Bakersfield College that voices your concerns. BCSGA presents your opinions, needs, and concerns to such groups as the College Council, the State Student California Community College (SSCCC), and many campus-wide and district-wide committees. BCSGA also allocates your Campus Center fees to programs and services that directly benefit students in the Campus Center. You are urged to become familiar with the BCSGA constitution and to become involved with your Student Government. Regular meetings are held on alternating Fridays and are open to the public. Meeting times are posted in the Office of Student Life, Campus Center 4.


The Renegade Pantry

The Pantry's goal is to help maintain the health and welfare of Bakersfield College students and their minor children through organized college, community sponsorships, and donations of nonperishable food items. Veteran Services

Veteran Resource Center, Campus Center • 661-395-4312

The goal of the Vet Center program is to provide a broad range of counseling, outreach and referral services to eligible veterans in order to help them make a satisfying post-military readjustment to civilian life. The room is bright and offers a quiet place for veterans to come and study, rest, take advantage of the literature, and use the center's computers.


Student Health and Wellness Center

Students are entitled to the services of the Health Center provided by a full-time registered nurse and a physician available part-time. There is student insurance coverage for campus-related injuries. The goal of the Health Center is to help students maintain a state of optimum health, both mental and physical. This is achieved by emergency first aid treatment, counseling, physical consultation, and general medical and physical attention. In addition, health literature and pamphlets are available on a wide variety of health topics. If you have concerns, visit the Student Health center. Referrals to community medical services at the student’s expense are available for health services not provided on campus.
