Back to College

Social distancing strategies utilized to contain the spread of coronavirus are causing workers to lose their jobs, and California’s economy is expected to be one of the nation’s hardest hit.

As unemployment increases in California and across the country due to coronavirus containment strategies, Bakersfield College will support our local community and economy by creating a late-start on-ramping program enabling new and returning students to access college-level coursework.

The Back to College program will ensure students reach their goals by assisting with the onboarding process and providing dedicated Counseling, Financial Aid, Academic Support, and Career services throughout their time at BC.

Degrees & Transfer Courses

These courses can be used to help you transfer to a 4 year college or university, and financial aid is available.
