Back to College

Social distancing strategies utilized to contain the spread of coronavirus are causing workers to lose their jobs, and California’s economy is expected to be one of the nation’s hardest hit.

As unemployment increases in California and across the country due to coronavirus containment strategies, Bakersfield College is supporting our local community and economy by offering late-start on-ramping program enabling new and returning students to access college-level coursework.

The Back to College program ensures students reach their goals by assisting with the onboarding process and providing dedicated Counseling, Financial Aid, Academic Support, and Career services throughout their time at BC.

These courses will get you started toward completing your Degree, General Education, and Transfer requirements. Financial Aid is available to those who qualify.
