Depending on how you filled out your application update form this will determine what information will be required. To establish California residency there must be a union of physical presence in California and the intent to become a resident.
The instructor for your class will provide you with the form.
All information on this form must be legible for processing. Email the form from your BC email account to firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are a few ways to do this.
If you are trying to get re-instated into a class or enrolled in a restricted course, email the instructor and they will assist you with getting you back into the class. Make sure to use your BC assigned email account when emailing us.
Email the professor of the course first. If you have already done so and would like to proceed, then email the department chair of the subject you are disputing. If you need further assistance, email email@example.com from your BC assigned email account and a staff member will assist you.
Only faculty, department chairs or deans can submit the form to A&R for processing. Email the Grade Change Card to firstname.lastname@example.org from your BC employee email account and keep the original for reference in case it is needed for audit purposes. Students should not have access to the Grade Change Cards.
If the entity requiring proof has a form, such as:
Submit your request from your BC Email to email@example.com with the email, fax, or address to send it to..
In instances where there is not a required form, A&R can provide you with verification on official letterhead. Submit your request from your BC Email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the an email, fax, or address to send it to.
Most verifications take three (3) business days to process.
This change will require two forms of Government Documentation, depending on which change you need to do. We need one government-issued picture ID and one legal document showing proof of the change you would like to make.
An example is if you want to change your name due to marriage, you can send in your California Driver’s License or California Identification Card with the new name along with your marriage certificate. If you have further questions, please email email@example.com from your BC email account to get started with this process. If you are sending documentation, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to get the File Express link, so you can send documentation and get instructions.
Email the following forms from your BC email to email@example.com and keep the original for reference.
Email the following forms from your BC email to firstname.lastname@example.org and keep the original for reference.
If you cannot access your security question, email email@example.com with your concerns.
If you applied for Bakersfield College and have a CCC ID number, but received an email stating that there were discrepancies in your account, you may email firstname.lastname@example.org with your CCC ID #, full name, date of birth and physical address on the application. We will help you retrieve your BC ID number and college email address.
The Class Schedule page has links to many pre-defined searches for current class offerings.
This will show all the courses currently being offered. To register for the course, you must use the Add or Drop Option in InsideBC.
Students can drop their courses due to medical hardship or extenuating circumstances in the Spring 2020 semester through their "Inside BC" for the Spring 2020 semester ONLY.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have extended our drop date for the Spring 2020 semester to May 15th, 2020.
If a student does not wish to attend Bakersfield College in the Summer or Fall semester, we highly recommend that students drop before the start date of the semester they no longer wish to attend.
If the semester has already begun, but a student would like to withdraw due to medical hardship or extenuating circumstances during the Summer 2020 and Fall 2020 semester, contact BCadmission@kccd.edu for further information.

Yes, if it was an online order. Please call Credential Solutions at 847-716-3005 for any updates OR click on your order confirmation email and click on “check order status.”
Students may access their unofficial transcripts at any time by logging in to their Inside BC student account on the website. Unfortunately, if you attended BC prior to 1987, these records are housed in our office and would need to be accessed manually or located in our scanning system. You would need to reach out via email at firstname.lastname@example.org to access these unofficial/official transcripts.
Email email@example.com for the form and instructions, then you will resend it back to us from your BC assigned email account for processing. Please allow 4-8 weeks for processing. This will be submitted directly to the UC or CSU you have provided on the request. We cannot send this to a student only a postsecondary institution.
Unfortunately, our office is currently working virtually from home and will not be available for in-person requests until further notice. This process will be unavailable while we are working remotely, but we will work on expediting these requests once the campus has reopened. If you request a transcript, either official or unofficial, your Certificate of Achievement and Degree will show up as awarded. Job Skill Certificates will not show up on your transcripts.
If you had previously ordered a transcript for pick up at Admission and Records, but failed to pick up the transcript on time, you can resubmit a new transcript order via our online ordering system. You can claim the hold for pick up order at a later time.
Bakersfield College will not be allowing hold for pick up orders during our campus virtual schedule. Please mail your official transcripts to your permanent address or to your third party requester.
