Third Party Comments

Bakersfield College is currently in the process of self-review for reaffirmation of accreditation, as we do every six years. After we submit our Institution Self-Evaluation Report (ISER), the next step will be to have an evaluation team revue our ISER and visit our campus. The campus, community and public may submit third-party comments relating to the complance with Eligibility Requirements, Accreditation Standards, or Commission Policy to the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC).

You are invited to submit comments to the ACCJC. While a third-party comment may be submitted to ACCJC at any time, to ensure evaluation by the external evaluation team, third-party comments must be recieved no later than five weeks before the evaluation team visit. The external evaluation team visit is scheduled for Fall 2018.

Submitting a Third-party Comment

Submissions must be in writing, signed and include:

  • Name of Third Party
  • Phone Number
  • Return Address
  • Date of Letter
  • Name of Institution
  • Affiliation with or relationship to the Institution
  • Comment on quality, effectiveness, etc.
  • Evidence upon which you base your comment
