The African American Male Education Network & Development (A2MEND) Student Charter

The African American Male Education Network & Development (A2MEND) Student Charter at Bakersfield College promotes a healthy sense of brotherhood and community among its members within the campus and community.

The purpose of A2MEND is to enhance enrollment, academic success, leadership, networking, professionalism, and the program completion of African American and other male students at Bakersfield College.

A2MEND Eligibility, Requirements and Power Hour Schedule

Eligibility:

  • Currently Enrolled at BC
  • Complete FAFSA or Dream Act

Requirements:

  • Attend Power Hour series (Monday at 1:00p)
  • Connect with Counselor/Advisor 1x per month
  • Participate in A2MEND events and State-wide conferences
