What is a Planetarium?
Answer: It is a domed room which shows the night sky from any locations at any time far in the past to far in the future.
To introduce students to what a planetarium is and what to expect view this nice, but somewhat dated slide show (What's A Planetarium). The Bakersfield College Planetarium is similar to the one in the slide show but the equipment is different and what you see may be different.
