Scott
Peat Biology Scott is coming to Bakersfield College from Mohave Community College in Kingman, Arizona, where he has taught biology since 2010. Prior to that, he was a research assistant in the Biology Department at Brigham Young University. Scott earned his Master of Science in biology from California State University, Fresno in 2005, and his Ph.D. in biology at Brigham Young University in 2010. His dissertation was on the Utilization of Phylogenetic Systematics, Molecular Evolution, and Comparative Transcriptomics to Address Aspects of Nematode and Bacterial Evolution. |
| Rae Ann
Kumelos English Rae Ann joins Bakersfield College from New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she was a visiting assistant professor of English. Prior to that, she was an instructor at College of the Sequoias in Visalia, and at Barstow Community College in Barstow. Rae Ann earned her Master of Arts in English, graduating summa cum laude, from New Mexico Highlands University in 2001, her Master of Arts in mythological studies from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2003, and her Ph.D. in mythological studies from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2005. Her dissertation was titled Feathered Grace: Animal Guides in Myth, Literature, and Life. |

Neil
Stanifer English Neil has become a full-time member of the Bakersfield College faculty after having been an adjunct English instructor for Bakersfield College and California State University, Bakersfield since 2000. Neil earned his Master of Arts in English from California State University, Bakersfield in 2000, and is “all but dissertation” in American Literature from Tulane University. |

Chamberlain Computer Studies Greg joins the Bakersfield College faculty after a successful term as Bakersfield College president, which began in 2008. Prior to that, Chamberlain was Vice Chancellor, Educational Services, for the Kern Community College District, and Dean of Learning Resources and Information Technology at Bakersfield College. Greg earned his Master of Science in computer education at Fresno Pacific University in Fresno in 1989, and his Ph.D. in educational technology from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado in 1999. |

Bryan
Hirayama Communication Bryan has become a full-time member of the Bakersfield College faculty after having been an adjunct communication instructor for Bakersfield College since 2011. Simultaneously, he was adjunct faculty at Brandman University in Lemoore, California. Prior to that, he was adjunct faculty at Heald College in Fresno and Reedley College in Reedley. Bryan earned his Master of Arts in communication from California State University, Fresno in 2007. |

David
Neville Spanish David is coming to Bakersfield College after teaching as an adjunct instructor of Spanish and Russian at Bakersfield College since 1999. He has simultaneously been a Spanish teacher at North High School in Bakersfield. Prior to that, David was an English as a Second Language instructor for Bakersfield College and a Spanish instructor in Arizona. David is in the process of earning his Master of Arts in Spanish linguistics from California State University, Bakersfield. |

Charles
Kim Political Science Charles joins Bakersfield College from Delano Joint Union High School District, where he was a social studies teacher since 2008. Prior to that, Charles taught social studies in the Kern High School District. Charles earned his Master of Science in public administration from California State University, Bakersfield in 2008. His master’s thesis focused on the CRV on bottles and cans: California Refund Value: A Program Evaluation. Charles earned his Single Subject Credential in social studies from California State University, Bakersfield in 2005. |

McLaughlin American Sign Language Linda comes to Bakersfield College from California State University, Fresno, where she has been an American Sign Language instructor since 2011. Prior to that, she was an American Sign Language instructor at Fresno City College in Fresno and West Hills College in Lemoore. Linda earned her Master of Arts in education from Western Maryland College in Westminster, Maryland, in 1980. |

Schott Geology Ronald is coming to Bakersfield College from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas, where he has been an assistant professor in geology since 2004. Prior to that, he was an assistant professor of geology at Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Ronald earned his Master of Science and Ph.D. in geology from University of Madison, Wisconsin, in Madison, Wisconsin. |
