Though now working as a reference librarian, Marci Lingo began teaching English at Bakersfield College in 1984. She is a Bakersfield native, graduating from Bakersfield College. She received a BA from University of the Pacific in Stockton, an MA in English from CSUB, and an MLIS from San Jose State University.
