As each semester approaches Bakersfield College seeks qualified individuals to enter the classroom as adjunct instructors. An adjunct instructor is a part time temporary position without the possibility of tenure. Adjuncts often hold a job outside of the academic institution and come to the campus to share their knowledge with our student body.

Formal Application Procedure

Please complete the following steps:

1. Review the Faculty Contract for minimum qualifications required for an adjunct assignment in your area of expertise. If you don’t meet the minimum qualifications but believe that you have related experience and/or education, you can petition for equivalency. Submit the appropriate equivalency documentation along with the other required information to the HR Manager at Bakersfield College. Contact her at 661-395-4660.
2. Complete a KCCD application indicating your interest. It is found on the www.kccd.edu website under part time adjunct positions. Be sure to attach all necessary requested paperwork which will include a resume, transcripts and possible application for equivalency along with the application.

Please note that Bakersfield College is always building a pool of qualified applicants but recognize that the listed adjunct openings are current.
