ETUDES Login Information

ETUDES-NG Login Page

Computer Requirements

• PC's should be running Windows 2000 or XP
• Macs should have OS X.10.3.x  or higher
• Screen resolution set to 1024 X 768
• 1GB RAM is recommended
• 56K minimum is required, DSL or Cable strongly advised (Dial-up or satellite requires a lot of patience.  It will be slow!)

AOL
You must download and install a "real version" of Internet Explorer or Firefox.  The version that is provided with your AOL account does not work.  AOL will still be your "Internet Service Provider" or ISP. Method One 1.  Sign on to AOL as your connection. 2.  Minimize the AOL screen. 3.  Launch Internet Explorer or your favorite other non-AOL browser from the computer's desktop. Method Two 1.  Sign on to AOL as your connection. 2.  Launch Internet Explorer via Start > Programs > Internet Explorer (or other browser's name). Method Three 1.  Sign on to AOL as your connection. 2.  Launch Internet Explorer (or your favorite other non-AOL browser) from the toolbar next to your Start button      (usually at the bottom left of your screen).

ETUDES-NG Login Instructions

1. Browser Configuration Settings - Important!:
   Make sure your browser is configured correctly for use in your online class by going to the Browser Test Page.
2. Your ETUDES-NG User ID is Determined as Follows:
   • First 2 letters of your first name (lowercase)+
   • First 2 letters of your last name (lowercase)+
   • Last 5 digits of your student ID
     (Note: This is NOT your SSN.  If you do not know your student ID, login to Banner Web at banweb.kccd.cc.ca.us. Once logged in select “Personal Information” and choose the last option, “View your Student/Employee ID”. Your ID will be displayed. It will begin with the @ symbol and be followed by eight digits.)
   • Example: Benjamin Franklin whose student ID is @00123456 would have the following User ID - befr23456
3. Your ETUDES-NG Password is Determined as Follows:
   • MMDD of your birth on your student record (MMDD means the 2 digit number for the month combined with the 2 digit number for the day)
   • Example: Benjamin Franklin's birthday is January 17, 1706. His password is 0117 because 01 is the month and 17 is the day.
   • NOTE: If you were enrolled in an ETUDES course in a previous semester, you will use the password that you last used to login to ETUDES.
4. Course Login Page:
   On the first day of class go to the course login page at  https://myetudes.org 
5. Protect Your Account - Change Your Password as soon as you login
   • Click on "Account", along the left.
   • Scroll down and click "Modify Settings".
   • Type a new password in the "Create new password" box and then repeat it again in the "Verify new password" then click "Update Details".
   • Write down your new password and keep it in a safe place.
6. NOTE: Do NOT work on your course with more than one browser window open. It is easy to log yourself out of one which would log you out of the others, losing what you were working on - assignments, tests, etc.
