In 2013, Bakersfield College is celebrating 100 years of providing higher education opportunities to the students of Bakersfield. To celebrate this outstanding achievement, the college will have a year of events which highlight the positive relationships Bakersfield College has maintained with the community.
Our first major initiative was the creation of the centennial logo (pictured, above). The logo was created via an open competition to Bakersfield College students and alumni. After all submissions were received, a committee of Bakersfield College faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community supporters selected the winning logo.
