Wildland Engine Firefighter - 3

Prepares students to perform the duties of a wildland firefighter assigned to an engine company. Includes hoselays, types of attack with engines, backfiring equipment, hand tools, self contained breathing apparatus, map reading and communications. Includes National Wildfire Coordinating Group curriculum. Prepares students for employment with wildland fire management agencies and municipal fire departments. Hours: 54 lect. 26 lab. CCS: Occupational Education. Transferable: CSU and private colleges. Note: Elective credit only.
