Typography - 3

The role and application of typography in visual communication. A study in the evolution of letterforms to the digital type styles of today. Emphasis on concept development and design craftsmanship as students explore traditional and computer-assisted techniques. Structure, format, legibility, and expression will be considered. Typographic emphasis will be placed on projects related to various graphic design media. Prerequisite: ART B20. Hours: (108) 3 lect, 3 lab. CCS: Occupational Education.
