A survey of the livestock industry, animal uses and products. Emphasis is on the origin, characteristics, adaptation, production and contribution of the major farm animals and their relationship to the agriculture industry and human culture development. Recommended: Reading Level 5 or 6. Hours: 54 lect., 36 lab. Field trips required. CCS: Occupational Education Transferable: UC, CSU and private colleges.
